What You’ll Do

At Radancy, all days are different. Here’s a glimpse into a typical day:

Start your day with a cup of coffee, enjoying the scenic views of the Hollandsche IJssel as you settle in with the back-end development team. Your day starts with detailing Asana tasks for a teammate working on a job importer adjustment. Then, you dive into PHPStorm (or your favorite IDE) to provide feedback on a merge request for WerkenbijDefensie.nl.

By midday, you take a well-deserved lunch break, with a meal prepared by our in-house chef at the Radancy café. Post-lunch, you discuss a new API integration with an external partner and collaborate with colleagues from the UK and US on refining roadmap projects.

As the day winds down, you review code in GitLab, but the fun doesn’t stop there—get ready for an evening of team gaming and pizza!

Who You Are

• You bring at least eight years of experience as a back-end developer/engineer.
• Expertise in PHP 8 and Laravel is your strong suit; these technologies hold no secrets.
• You are skilled in MySQL and Git and know how to write efficient unit tests.
• You have a track record of mentoring junior developers and guiding their growth and development.
• Your ability to maintain a broad project overview and work towards clear objectives enables you to direct colleagues effectively when necessary.
• Despite your extensive experience, you are dedicated to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in Laravel development.
• Known for your speed and precision, you excel independently and as part of a team.
• We value talent over traditional education paths, so whether you’re a computer science graduate or self-taught, your skills and experience matter most to us.
• Bonus points for experience with any of the following: EFK, Ansible, Talos, Flux, Helm, Minio, AWS, Go, Lang, Vault, Haproxy, Crowdsec, Service meshes in Kubernetes (Kuma / Istio), Terraform.
• We’re seeking a colleague who is not only technically proficient but also a strong communicator, analytical thinker, problem-solver, and eager learner. Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential.
