Overview
We’re looking for a passionate Technical Product Owner to join our growing AI team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the AI Technical Product Manager, as well as with Engineering and Data Science teams, to bring AI and data-driven products to life.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a basic understanding (or a willingness to learn) of AI/ML concepts, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. This person should be committed to delivering value through iterative processes, structuring complex problems into actionable tasks, and making data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the AI Product Manager, engineering, and data science leads to align on product goals, resolve technical challenges, and define development priorities.
- Leverage data analysis to inform product decisions and refine technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories for engineering and data science teams.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across multiple domain stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and effective collaboration.
- Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, providing clear, well-structured documentation and presentations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to break down complex ideas and perspectives into manageable, incremental deliverables.
- Maintain a refined and evolving product backlog that drives both near term iterative optimizations and long term innovation
- Ensure timely, organized delivery of product features throughout the product lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and integrate new insights into the team’s work.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent experience
- Strong data analysis skills using Excel and/or Python (proficiency in Python is a significant plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Basic understanding of product management and software development processes.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, while also being open to sharing ideas and collaborating with the team.
- Passion for the ethical use of AI, with a focus on mitigating risks, particularly in Talent Acquisition and people-related areas.
- Interest or experience in Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI.
- Comfortable working in a research and experiment-driven environment, understanding that AI product development often requires iterative testing and refinement.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and integrating new skills or knowledge into your work.
- Compassionate mindset, with a desire to develop responsible and fair AI solutions that positively impact people.
- Love for working with data and identifying opportunities from large datasets.
- Familiarity with product and task management tools such as Jira and Productboard.
- Knowledge of AWS platforms (Sagemaker, Bedrock) is a plus.
- Familiarity with graph databases or an understanding of graph concepts is a plus.

Location: Remote for EU-based candidates only.
The minimum annual gross salary according to the Collective Agreement based on the Austrian law for this position is EUR 52.136 p.a. This includes full health insurance, occupational accident insurance, a public pension scheme, and public unemployment insurance. Depending on your professional qualifications and previous experience, your salary could be significantly higher.
