About the Role

Radancy is looking for a Detection Platform Engineer to strengthen the security logging and detection capabilities supporting our global SaaS product and corporate IT environments.

Based in our Bengaluru office, you will work with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams, as well as our managed security service providers, to ensure required log sources are integrated into our SIEM, logging pipelines remain healthy, and detection rules provide effective coverage.

This role combines SIEM platform engineering, detection engineering, and log-source governance. You will also create lightweight, repeatable, and automated processes that make logging and detection requirements part of how new systems and infrastructure are deployed.

What does a great Detection Platform Engineer  do? 

• Create scalable, repeatable, and automated processes for identifying logging requirements and onboarding new infrastructure, applications, and security tools into our SIEM.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to ensure required telemetry is included in new deployments and material technical changes.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot log integrations, collectors, APIs, parsers, field mappings, normalization, and ingestion pipelines.
• Monitor log-source and pipeline health, establish alerting for failures or data-quality issues, and coordinate rapid remediation when logging is interrupted or degraded.
• Create, test, tune, document, and maintain detection rules and security use cases based on Radancy’s environment, incidents, and threat intelligence.
• Review and improve detection content provided by our MSSPs, validate that expected rules are deployed and functioning, and develop additional coverage where needed.
• Maintain visibility into log-source inventory, ownership, onboarding status, retention, platform health, detection coverage, and known gaps.
• Partner with compliance and GRC teams to confirm that required security events are logged, retained, monitored, and available to support control and audit requirements.

Qualifications 

• 5 or more years of experience in SIEM engineering, detection engineering, security platform engineering, or a related technical security role.
• Hands-on experience administering and integrating an enterprise SIEM platform.
• Experience creating, tuning, testing, and maintaining security detection rules and use cases.
• Experience onboarding and troubleshooting log sources from cloud, infrastructure, network, identity, endpoint, application, and security platforms.
• Working knowledge of AWS security and logging sources, including services such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, VPC Flow Logs, Route 53, EKS, and EC2.
• Experience troubleshooting collectors, APIs, event streams, parsers, field mappings, normalization, and ingestion pipelines.
• Ability to translate threat intelligence, incident findings, and technical changes into logging and detection requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, automation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience working with MSSPs or external security operations teams.
• Experience supporting logging and detection in a SaaS, cloud, or Kubernetes-based environment.
• Experience with detection-as-code, version control, scripting, APIs, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or similar automation tools.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, detection coverage mapping, and compliance or log-retention requirements.
