Configuration Specialist

Overview
As a Configuration Specialist (CFS), you will be responsible for all technical configuration tasks that support the delivery of digital solutions. This role is designed to centralize and streamline configuration activities, allowing Digital Project Managers to focus on core project management duties. The ideal CFS is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with project managers, creative, UI, QA, and product teams.
Responsibilities
What does a great Configuration Specialist do?
Owns platform admin setup and configuration for new and existing projects
Manages customer domain and SSL setup processes
Executes translation, asset, and copy updates within CMS and related platforms
Builds and configures CMS pages, including URL redirects and SS page migrations
Maps jobs and scripts to ensure accurate data flow and reporting
Configures recruiter tools (CRM, Referrals, Events) as required by project scope
Develops and executes test plans and launch day checklists for configuration tasks
Collaborates with creative, UI, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless configuration and integration
Troubleshoots and resolves configuration issues throughout the project lifecycle
Documents configuration processes and updates project documentation as needed
Skills Required
Technical aptitude (basic scripting, data migration, platform configuration)
Attention to detail
Strong documentation and QA skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple configuration tasks simultaneously
Organizational Context
This role is part of the centralized delivery structure under Digital Delivery Operations.
Configuration Specialists collaborate closely with Solutions Architects, Integration Specialists, and DPMs.
This role is not customer-facing but is essential to ensuring quality and consistency in platform setup and implementation.
Qualifications
Requirements for Consideration
2-4 years’ experience in technical configuration, implementation, or related digital delivery roles
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Demonstrated experience with CMS platforms, web technologies, and digital integrations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and repeatable results
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, Basecamp) a plus
Ability to manage multiple configuration tasks across concurrent projects
Work Location and Interview Process
- Hybrid Work Model: This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work in the Bengaluru office 3 times per week.
- Interview Process: As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to complete and pass a technical coding assessment to demonstrate proficiency in key web development skills.
