Machine Learning Engineer

Radancy Programmatic is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic Data Science team. In this role, you will play a critical part in building the infrastructure and algorithms that power our production programmatic advertising allocation system and collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers. 

The Radancy Data Science team has expertise in optimization, regression, classification, and NLP principles to develop world class machine learning strategies for performance advertising that yield the most important results for our customers: hiring the best employees. 

Role and Responsibilities 

1. Platform and Infrastructure development 

• Manage and improve the machine learning serving platform, leveraging AWS. Work with the DevOps team to ensure scalability, security, and reliability of the infrastructure.
• Contribute to diverse projects, including bid optimization, budget allocation, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs). 

2. Project Deployment and Support 

• Implement new algorithms and improve the quality of current production algorithms
• Assist other data scientists in deploying new machine learning projects.
• Troubleshoot production issues 

3. Model Performance Optimization 

• Hyperparameter optimization across systems of multiple algorithms.
• Implement long run solutions to mitigate model concept drift over months and years.  

4. Development and Analysis 

• Write efficient, maintainable code using the modern python data science stack
• Integrate with and query databases, particularly **PostgreSQL** and Delta Lake. 

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Machine Learning Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in debugging complex system issues.
• Strong Python programming skills, particularly for data intensive tasks.
• Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and model optimization techniques.
• Understanding of NLP, language models, and their applications.
• Prior involvement in projects involving bid optimization or budget allocation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (bitbucket pipelines / github workflows), terraform is a plus
• Experience working in AdTech is a plus.

Location: Remote for EU and US-based candidates only.

Salary Range: USD $80,000 - $95,000

The above range is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location.

For US-based candidates: The salary range is applicable to US-based candidates but may vary depending on location. 

For EU-based candidates (including Austria): Salary will be adjusted based on the local collective agreement and relevant labor laws. The gross minimum salary for this position in Austria, according to the Collective Agreement, is EUR 3,175 per month. The final salary will depend on your qualifications, experience, and other factors, and may be higher than the minimum.
