Infrastructure Lead

About the Role

The position works across network, server, cloud, identity, virtualization, telephony, and business-application platforms. The engineer partners with security operations, service desk teams, application owners, vendors, auditors, and business stakeholders to deliver stable, secure, and well-documented technology services. 

What does a great Infrastructure Lead do?

Network and Remote Access

• Configure and support firewalls, switches, wireless networks, DNS, DHCP, routing, BGP, VPN tunnels, public IP addresses, and network access controls.

• Administer Palo Alto firewalls and GlobalProtect, including portal and gateway configuration, SAML authentication, certificates, security controls, and international access.

• Diagnose blocked sites, application connectivity, latency, routing, port, and cross-environment access issues.

Telephony and Business Services

• Support Microsoft Teams Phone, PBX, SBC, voicemail, call routing, service lines, virtual fax, international numbers, and telephony access.

• Coordinate telephony migrations, firmware or security upgrades, phone provisioning, and service restoration.

• Support business applications and engineering systems through access configuration, integrations, licenses, database connectivity, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Infrastructure Operations and Engineering

• Manage Azure infrastructure, virtual machines, load balancers, networking, and related cloud services.

• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve enterprise server, storage, virtualization, network, cloud, and office infrastructure.

• Investigate infrastructure performance, availability, authentication, and connectivity issues and implement sustainable resolutions.

Identity, Access, and Collaboration Services

• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SSO, MFA, Duo, privileged access, service accounts and application consent requests.

Security and Compliance

• Investigate and remediate critical and high-risk vulnerabilities affecting servers, network devices, applications, telephony platforms, and infrastructure components.

• Partner with Security Operations and Governance, Risk, and Compliance teams on vulnerability, audit, and policy-adherence initiatives.

Change, Incident, and Service Management

• Plan and execute standard, minor, and emergency changes with appropriate testing, communication, documentation, rollback planning, and validation.

• Manage technical requests and escalations from intake through resolution while maintaining clear stakeholder communication.

• Coordinate vendors and internal teams during upgrades, migrations, maintenance windows, and complex troubleshooting efforts.

Desired Qualifications 

• Experience with Palo Alto Networks, Rapid7 InsightVM, SIEM platforms, VxRail, Meraki, Ruckus, Microsoft Teams Phone, PBX, or SBC technologies.

• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, APIs, or infrastructure automation.

• Familiarity with ITIL practices, Jira service management, asset-management platforms, and formal change advisory processes.

• Microsoft, VMware, Palo Alto, Cisco, ITIL, cloud, networking, or security certifications.

• Experience supporting a geographically distributed workforce and coordinating international access requirements.

Salary Range: USD $120,000 – $130,000

*The above range is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including, but not limited to, skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
