The Enterprise Integration Engineer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for designing, building, validating, and supporting integrations between Radancy’s Talent Acquisition Cloud and enterprise ATS, CRM, HRIS, and related talent technology platforms. Workday is a key area of focus, but the role requires broad expertise across enterprise recruiting systems, integration patterns, APIs, middleware, security, data transformation, and production support.

The ideal candidate combines deep integration architecture expertise with the ability to work directly in the technology. This person will partner with Implementation, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and customer technical teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable integrations; identify risks early; troubleshoot complex issues; and establish repeatable patterns that accelerate enterprise customer launches.

What does a good Integration Engineer do?

Integration Discovery & Technical Design

  • Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers and internal implementation teams.

  • Document source and target systems, data flows, business events, field mappings, security requirements, dependencies, volumes, error handling, and acceptance criteria.

  • Design secure, scalable integration architectures using appropriate APIs, middleware, web services, file-based methods, and event-driven patterns.

  • Translate customer requirements into detailed technical specifications, interface contracts, sequence flows, mapping documents, and test plans.

  • Challenge assumptions, identify technical and implementation risks early, and recommend supportable alternatives.

Workday, ATS & CRM Integration Expertise

  • Provide deep technical expertise in Workday Recruiting integrations, including Workday Studio, EIB, RaaS/WQL, REST and SOAP APIs, XML/XSLT, business processes, Integration System Users, and security.

  • Apply comparable expertise across other leading enterprise ATS, CRM, HRIS, and talent acquisition platforms.

  • Advise on integration patterns for candidate, job, requisition, application, disposition, recruiter, organizational, and related recruiting data.

  • Understand platform-specific constraints and guide teams toward standard, reusable approaches that reduce customization and long-term support risk.

Hands-On Integration Engineering

  • Configure, build, and validate integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, secure file transfer, middleware, native platform tools, and data transformation technologies.

  • Develop and review field mappings, payloads, authentication methods, transformation logic, error handling, monitoring, and reconciliation processes.

  • Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing; document results and resolve defects before deployment.

  • Troubleshoot complex integration defects across Radancy, partner, and customer systems and drive issues through root cause and resolution.

  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure integrations meet security, privacy, performance, scalability, observability, and supportability standards.

Embedded Implementation & Customer Support

  • Work directly with Radancy Implementation, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and customer technical teams on assigned enterprise implementations.

  • Participate in architecture sessions, technical design reviews, testing, launch-readiness reviews, and production stabilization.

  • Guide implementation teams through customer-specific scenarios, technical tradeoffs, edge cases, dependencies, and issue resolution.

  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, and required customer actions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Partner with the Project Manager on plans, milestones, risks, ownership, and launch criteria while remaining accountable for the technical integration outcome.

Integration Standards & Capability Building

  • Create and maintain reusable integration patterns, reference architectures, mapping templates, security standards, test assets, monitoring practices, and support documentation.

  • Standardize integration discovery, design review, validation, deployment, and handoff practices.

  • Coach implementation and engineering teams on Workday and other enterprise ATS/CRM integration practices.

  • Use lessons learned from customer work to improve product capabilities, documentation, tooling, and implementation readiness.

Escalation & Recovery Support

  • Serve as the technical lead for complex integration escalations and production issues.

  • Diagnose issues across APIs, data, authentication, security, middleware, configuration, and customer systems; establish clear recovery plans and ownership.

  • Implement durable fixes and translate root causes into preventive standards, monitoring, and internal enablement.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise application integrations, including significant hands-on engineering responsibility.

  • Deep experience with enterprise ATS, recruiting CRM, HRIS, or talent acquisition platforms; strong Workday integration experience is highly valued. Hands-on experience developing Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS/WQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware tools.

  • Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, web services, authentication, XML/JSON, XSLT or comparable transformation technologies, secure file transfer, and middleware or integration platforms.

  • Experience with integration security, privacy, monitoring, logging, error handling, reconciliation, performance, and production troubleshooting.

  • Ability to produce clear technical designs, data mappings, interface specifications, test plans, runbooks, and support documentation.

  • Experience supporting large enterprise customers and working directly with customer architects, security teams, HR technology teams, and implementation leaders.

  • Strong consulting, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain tradeoffs, challenge assumptions, and remain hands-on through delivery.

    Preferred

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, RaaS/WQL, Workday Recruiting, Workday business processes, and Integration System Users/security.

  • Experience integrating multiple leading enterprise ATS and CRM platforms with external recruiting, HR, screening, scheduling, sourcing, and analytics solutions.

  • Experience establishing reusable integration frameworks or improving integration delivery practices for enterprise SaaS products.

  • Relevant Workday, integration platform, cloud, security, or enterprise architecture certifications.

Working Style

This role is best suited for a senior, hands-on integration engineer who can move comfortably between architecture, configuration, development, troubleshooting, documentation, and customer collaboration. The successful candidate will bring depth in Workday or another major enterprise ATS/CRM platform, breadth across integration technologies, and the judgment to create practical solutions that can be repeated and supported across multiple enterprise customers.
